The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for most of southeast Louisiana beginning Saturday morning and lasting through Sunday night.
Two to four inches of rain is possible, with locally higher amounts possible. High rainfall rates could overwhelm drainage capacity leading to ponding of water in low lying and poor drainage areas as well as flash flooding where the heaviest rain falls, warned the NWS.
